More reasons to celebrate Spring on the Mountain
Now that Spring has sprung, there is more beauty emerging each and every day. There are blooms everywhere and everyone is glad to celebrate the end of a very harsh Winter.
We are excited about all of the wonderful events on the mountain in the next couple of months and looking forward to your joining us while you attend them.
On Saturday, April 4th The Mountain Goat Trail Run & Walk will celebrate the opening of the Sewanee to Monteagle portion of the trail. You can run or walk the full five miles or do the 2 mile option. The finish is at Mountain Outfitters with prizes, food and drink for the participants. Visit www.mountaingoattrail.org to register and receive updates. The next portion is thru the Town of Monteagle, then to Tracy City and eventually to Palmer. The West end will go down the Mountain to Cowan to complete a tremendous asset to our area.
Easter is just around the corner and we are celebrating with our almost famous Easter Lunch featuring Lamb, Ham, Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, our Green Beans with Hollandaise and Almonds, Yukon Gold Potato Casserole, Wild Rice and delicious deserts. There is so much more than cornbread with music and other entertainment, arts & crafts, carnival, food vendors and historic tours not available any other time of the year. A destination event for sure. For details, visit www.nationalcornbread.com.
