Indeed the leaves are changing and all of the elements this year are coming together to present one of the most beautiful and enjoyable fall spectacles in years. Come discover how special this time of year truly is. We were busy in September attending two major food shows and two tremendous wine tastings.
We have developed some delicious new dishes as well as updating some of our recipes to take them up a notch. We are very excited about our new offerings and will be utilizing them in our upcoming dinners, retreats and catering events.
Our local cable provider has informed us that we can expand our TV offering to more than the current three rooms due to new technology. Additional rooms will have flat screen TVs added this Fall. You do not have to turn them on if you prefer the peace and tranquility of the inn.

The South Cumberland State Park has been awarded the State’s Best Park Award again this year. They are a great neighbor and asset to our mountain community.
The support group Friends of the South Cumberland continues to grow and is able to provide more support and services for the park. We partner with them on fundraisers for the park.
We are proud to be participating in the 4th annual B&Bs for Vets this year. We will be providing some free rooms for vets on Veteran’s Day, Sunday November 11th. The program has spread to over 600 B&Bs across the country to show our Veterans how much we appreciate them.
It is part of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International’s Better Way to Stay program. We are also going one step further by offering our “Mountain Gourmet” Breakfast to Vets on Veteran’s Day at no cost..
The Sewanee Arts & Crafts Association is having their Fall Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, October 6th on Campus. It is always an exciting event with multitudes of beautiful originals.
On November 10th and 17th we will have 2 sessions of Design & Wine where you can come and paint pottery pieces which will then be fired for you and result in your own special unique treasure. The sessions will be from 12pm until 5pm and we will be serving wine to help the creative juices flow.
