Spring Greetings from Monteagle Inn

What a beautiful spring we are experiencing here on this beautiful mountain.

There are some exciting things happening in Monteagle and Sewanee we want to share with you.

Monteagle just added bicycle lanes on both sides of Main Street in the heart of town. This is a wonderful addition to our community and a joy for our cyclists.

"Escape to our Treasure, Treasure your Escape"

In April, the 9th annual Trails and Trilliums was enjoyed by hundreds of guest throughout the weekend. It was sponsored by the Monteagle Sunday School Assembly across the street and funds raised benefited the Friends of the South Cumberland Park. Friday night provided a preview party for Friends members and an opportunity to purchase original paintings. We sponsored the Saturday night event at the inn with Wine & Wildflowers and entertained almost 200 guests. Again a number of artists had their paintings for sale, many of which had been painted that day. It was a great time enjoyed by all and a nice fundraiser for Friends.

Pearl’s Restaurant has been purchased and will be re-opening in the near future. We have missed it during the last three years since it burned and closed. It will be a most welcome addition to our mountain community.

Tallulah’s Wine Lounge has added several new wines including Tallulah’s from Napa Valley, which is made by a cousin of Tallulah Bankhead. Drop by and enjoy our large selection of wines and flavorful hors d’ oeuvres.

Speaking of wine, we will have our Napa Valley Wine Dinner this coming Saturday, May 5th at 6pm. We will feature six outstanding wines and five delicious food pairing courses to make it a night to remember and cherish.
