The Monteagle Sunday School Assembly across the street begins their 130th annual season on June the 10th and goes thru August 5th. They always have a wonderful program full of delightful events which are all open to the public. For more information check their website @ www.mssa1882.org.

The Sewanee Summer Music Festival is June 13th thru July 19th. The mountain will truly be alive with music to steal a phrase from the movie. It really makes the area special as there is so much beautiful music everywhere on the mountain.

We were just notified by Trip Advisor that we were awarded their Trip Advisor 2012 Certificate of Excellence. We are proud of receiving the award both years that it has been available. We thank you for you many kind reviews. It really does make a difference in our business as many people do use Trip Advisor as part of their planning process.

Southern Living has informed us that we will be featured in the July issue of Southern Living Magazine. We will be included in an article about what fun the mountain is during the 4th of July. Speaking of the 4th of July, it falls on Wednesday this year and all of the usual festivities will be held on that day. It is always a very special time enjoyed by everyone.

On the following Saturday, July 7th, Monteagle will celebrate with our Monteagle Red, White and Blue 50th Anniversary Celebration and Street Dance. It will begin at 10am and continue until 10pm that night.

We will have a Red, White & Blue Wine Tasting on Saturday, July 7th from 4 until 7pm. The blue portion will be cigar smoke on the patio. We will feature over two dozen wines by the glass for your pleasure. Drop by and enjoy a glass.

We have increased our Green commitment by replacing the bottled water in the guest refreshment center with two Brita water pitchers in the refrigerator. This not only saves a lot of plastic and everything involved in the manufacturing and distribution but also provides our guests with better filtered water. We still have bottled water in the rooms for your convenience.
