Spring has sprung with a vengeance, the flowers are blooming everywhere, some of our herbs and mint are already abundant due to the warm days. You are invited to come see and enjoy the beauty.

It looks like we still have a little Winter left even though we are having a few Spring-like days already.

St. Andrews - Sewannee School Trails & Trilliums Weekend

St. Andrew’s – Sewanee School is having their Trails & Trilliums this weekend, April 17th & 18th, with garden tours, hikes, lectures, workshops and Wine & Wildflowers at the inn on Saturday from 5 till 7. Full information is available at http://trails.sasweb.org.

National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg

Next weekend, April 24th & 25th is the 14th annual National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg. This is lots of fun, food, activities and crafts. This event is rated in the top 20 events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society and I can personally vouch for it. We are offering a Cornbread Festival Special with a $50 credit when you stay two nights next weekend plus 2 tickets to the festival. Mother's Day Weekend

We are excited about Mother’s Day Weekend, May 8th and 9th, and are planning some special meals. Saturday Night we are featuring a romantic candle light dinner with a selection of special entrees and wines. Sunday we are having a champagne lunch with a delicious array of entrees and menu options accompanied by a bevy of sparkling wines. Yum, Yum! Join us for Mother’s Day and celebrate all that our mothers have done for us. Chef Dee is going all out with these menus and you will love them, guaranteed. We are including roses and chocolates in your room package at no additional charge.
