The Mountaineer Days Festival is an annual event which occurs the second weekend in September.  The festival is a way for people to gather and showcase their artistry in craft, food and talent.  Activities include bed racing, toilet seat toss, horse shoe tournament, greasy pig contest, mule rides, a dunk tank, egg toss, water balloon toss, karaoke, best dressed awards, sack race, wheel barrow race, petting zoo, and a watermelon and pie eating contest. 

Saturday night there will be live music and a street dance. Sunday morning at 11am there will be a Hillbilly church service followed by gospel singing until 5pm.  This event is sure to provide good family fun.
