The Celebration of the Feast of St. Francis and the Blessing of the Animals will take place on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Episcopal, Tracy City, and at 1 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church, on Midway Road in Sewanee.  Everyone is welcome to attend this annual event in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi and his ministry to the poor and his rapport with the animal kingdom. Animals will be blessed and those pets no longer with us remembered. Pet food samples will be available, generously provided by the Town and Country Veterinary Clinic, Decherd. Please be certain to have animals under your control on leashes or in crates.
